Is there someone or an organization that recyles ol computers? I have some computers and printers and crt's. I dont' want to trash them if someone can recycle or refurbish.

YoJohn used to take parts and make computers for his friends who couldn't get the money up to buy one. He's made some doozies! He made my first one and it was great!

The process isn't quite economically viable yet, but at a last-reported loss of $5 per unit, there are programs where the things are shredded into plastic and metal shards and sent to different "smelter" or whatever. I think foundries get the metal and the plastic pieces are converted into lobbyists.

Jim Ausenbaugh on No. Sunset probably can't use it but might have clues on recyclers....

Sam at Wildcat Computers used to take them and refurbish to pass on to people that couldn't afford a computer but needed something they could do school work on. I'm not sure if he still does this.
